Identity solutions, venture capital, medtech and shipping presented at Campden Wealth Webinar

By Glen Ferris

An early-stage venture capital firm, a medtech company providing tools for laser ablation in cancer treatment and a maritime assets outfit will exclusively present to qualifying family offices and private investors at the virtual Campden Wealth Funds & Direct Investments Event on February 10, 2022.

Karista is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in ambitious projects. For the past 20 years, they have been backing and guiding more than 95 companies from inception to success in health, digital, and technology sectors. Because they believe that investment is not only about money but mainly about people, they provide support to founders and entrepreneurs very early-on.

Chief executive office and managing partner Olivier Dubuisson [pictured] will explain how Karista are currently deploying three European early stage funds: Karista’s Digital Health Fund, the Paris Region Venture Fund sponsored by the Paris Region and the European Commission, and CosmiCapital a SpaceTech fund sponsored by CNES.

Clinical Laserthermia Systems provides tools for laser ablation and strive to make this treatment option adequate and available for patients suffering from prostate cancer and brain tumors. CLS is also doing research in the field of immune-stimulating therapy aiming to trigger the immune response to attack and kill cancer cells throughout the body.

19 million people are suffering from cancer right now and over 10 million will die from the disease this year. These numbers are increasing and so is the need for innovative treatment options to treat more patients more effectively and with fewer and less serious complications.

Co-founder and chief financial officer Lars-Erik Eriksson [pictured] will explain howlaser ablation is performed in a minimal-invasive setting and is well tolerated by patients. By use of image-guidance, such as ultrasound or MRI in real time, the treatment is precise and surrounding tissues saved.

The addressable market for Clinical Laserthermia Systems’s main markets – the USA, the five largest countries in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region – is significant. Clinical Laserthermia Systems has achieved CE mark and FDA approval and are developing further solutions.

Navigare Capital Partners - headed up by chief executive officer Henrik Ramskov [pictured] is backed by some of the leading limited partnerships in Europe and traces its roots back to the Maersk family, a leading name in the maritime industry.

In a presentation by Nick Connors from Torc Capital – an independent firm which sources high-quality, niche investment opportunities for a range of investors – attendees will discover how the strategy invests in modern eco-vessels, as part of the energy transition solution. The investment team, made up of professionals with a 25+-year track record in all areas of the supply chain, seeks high-quality counterparties and longer-term contracts, securing predictable cashflows. 70% of the internal rate of return is derived from the yield and the remainder from the disposal of the assets. Target net IRR of 15%, with a double digit yield.
