Chloe Green reveals desire to lead Arcadia

By Attracta Mooney

London socialite Chloe Green is hoping to lead her father Sir Philip Green’s fashion company Arcadia with her brother in the future.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, the star of reality TV show Made In Chelsea said she hopes to be involved with running the creative side of Arcadia, which owns high street shops such as Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Evans, Wallis and Dorothy Perkins.

"I’d love to take over Topshop with [brother] Brandon. He’s a bright kid and he’s working at Arcadia at the moment shadowing Dad. The plan is that he will be the business side – I’m more interested in the clothes and the creative," she said.

The 20-year-old told the newspaper she has been attending meetings with her father since she was 10, as he wanted her to know how the industry worked.

“I would point out things I liked and didn’t like and I’ve been doing it ever since. I think he saw that I had an eye for clothes and design from an early age,” she told the Mail.

A spokeswoman for Arcadia, which is privately owned by Taveta Investments, the Green family's investment vehicle, confirmed that Chloe has been involved with the company since childhood.

“Sir Philip has owned Arcadia since 2002 and since then Chloe has been coming into the building on a regular basis. However, it is not correct to say she sits in on all the Topshop board meetings,” the spokeswomen told CampdenFB.

Last month, Philip told The Daily Telegraph that his children will have to work to earn their place at the family business.

"They are both smart. But they have got to earn the respect. They have got to earn the right. Good is not good enough. [Chloe] loves the product. She might just be happy doing product. [Brandon's] has got the same attentive memory as me,” he said.
