A family business that has served as a jeweller to six generations of British royalty are sponsoring an exhibition at one of London’s top museums to celebrate their 150th anniversary.

Luxury antique dealer Wartski was founded by a Polish refugee, Morris Wartski, in 1865 in the Welsh town of Bangor. Its clients have included everyone from Bing Crosby to Kate Middleton and Prince William, who exchanged wedding bands made by the company when they married in 2011.

Based in Modena in Italy, the museum honours Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the eponymous sports car, which is today part of family business automobile giant Fiat.

Members of the Porsche and Piëch families gathered in Stuttgart on Wednesday to celebrate the opening of the new Porsche museum.

It will open to the public on 31st January, and has been called anything from Porsche’s new business card to a cathedral celebrating the iconic luxury sports car brand.

Designed by Roman Delugan it is entirely white in colour and has an exhibition area that appears to hover in space. Inside, 80 historic vehicles and more than 200 carefully arranged small exhibits from the company’s past are displayed over 5,600 square meters.
