Thierry de Vergnes was the Global Head of Debt Fund Management of Lyxor Debt Fund Management activities: a business that he founded and managed for Société Générale Group until its sale in January 2017, then he joined Amundi as European Head of Bank Loans.
Thierry joined Société Générale in April 2004 as Managing Director of Projects and Development within the Leveraged Finance team. Thierry began his career in Paris at Indosuez in the Credit Department before transferring to London in the Corporate Finance activity, and New-York as co-head of Indosuez Capital.
The European Leveraged Loans market—like other credit markets—suffered from a sudden and indiscriminate market price decrease at the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis in March, mainly resulting from lack of liquidity across all sub-investment markets and concerns about future rating downgrades and increased probability of defaults.
