Withers looks to expand family business offering in Italy

By Rashmi Kumar

Law firm Withers has added three new members to its Milan office as part of its strategy to increase its services for family businesses in Italy.

Roberta Crivellaro, managing partner at Withers’ Milan branch told CampdenFB: “Running a family firm, especially in Italy, is no easy business, but we are committed to making sure that our clients have the smoothest ride possible by building each and every one of our practices that together cater for the complicated world of the family business.”

Withers, whose clients include German family business Henkel and the Italian Benetton Group, said that Claudio Giordano joins as a partner, while Nicola Bau and Laura Costacurta join as Avvocato (lawyers).

The new appointments come as Withers looks to increase its range of activities in Italy – a country known to house a large number of family businesses, from jewellery company Bulgari (recently acquired by fellow family business LVMH) to automobile maker Fiat, controlled by the Agnelli family.

Withers was founded in London in 1896 and has offices across Europe, Asia, the US and the Caribbean.
