CampdenFB hosts family business roundtable

Many of Spain’s top family businesses, as well as a sprinkling of businesses from other parts of Europe, gathered at a CampdenFB/Ernst & Young roundtable in September.

Hosted by the Torres family, makers of some of Spain’s most famous wines, in its bodegas outside of Barcelona (pictured), delegates discussed the big issue of non-family directors in family businesses.

Family principals from a host of companies including pharmaceutical group Esteve, media group Havas, clothes company Adolfo Dominguez and of course the Torres family talked about their experiences of bringing in outside managers.

A lively discussion was had, all in the most beautiful surroundings – and with the aid of some superlative wines from the Torres vineyards.
