Campden Wealth has launched a new global membership programme for ultra-high net worth families in Asia-Pacific, in response to requests by families to connect with peers on a worldwide basis.
The programme is modelled on that offered to families in the US by the Institute for Private Investors, acquired by Campden last year.
“Offering the comprehensive membership model on a global basis is based on requests by the families and is the next step in our evolution,” said John Pettifor, chief executive of Campden. “Of course, families still can opt for individual services. But the all-inclusive membership helps us serve families better internationally, by facilitating the sharing and exchange of investment information and intelligence worldwide.”
The move also sees the appointment of Ming Wong as regional director of Asia-Pacific, leading the company’s membership and business development in Asia and Australia. The former investment banker previously spent three years working for a family office in Singapore, where he served as managing director and chair of the investment committee, and also recently worked as an adviser to family offices and foundations.
Wong’s appointment follows that of Marta Drummond in November – Drummond heads up Campden’s membership initiative in Europe and the Middle East.
