Nominations open to celebrate Europe's greatest family businesses

By James Beech

Tell us which leaders and firms are the best of the best for the prestigious European Families in Business Awards in 2017.

CampdenFB,in association with Societe Generale Private Banking, looks forward to hosting the sixth annual awards ceremony in Prague, Czech Republic, on 20 June. The gala dinner and ceremony will be the highlight of the popular 14th Campden Wealth Families in Business Conference on 20 and 21 June.

We are calling on the family business community to nominate their most expansive, innovative, sustainable, and philanthropic champions in six award categories:

Top family business

Top family business leader

Top family business rising star

Top next-generation entrepreneur

Top non-family director

Top sustainable business

Watch our video introduction and nominate here. The closing date for nominations is 10 March. A panel of international family business experts will shortlist five exceptional finalists within each category, to be announced weeks before the winners are revealed on the night.

Nicholas Moody, editor of CampdenFB and a member of the panel, said the quality of nominees seemed to rise every year and made judging incredibly difficult.

“The 30 finalists from across the continent will represent the finest virtues of family businesses which have never been so vital in an uncertain world: Entrepreneurial spirit, longevity, stability, and dedicated investment in staff, society, and the environment.

“We are after those 'hidden champions' ranging from local enterprises to global conglomerates who are doing great things. The awards give those market-leading European family businesses the chance to shine so please join in this celebration of excellence."

Deputy Head Patrick Folléa said Societe Generale Private Banking “is very proud to be a partner of the European Family in Business conference for the sixth consecutive year.

“It is truly a major rendez-vous for families in business across all Europe, offering both global perspective and very sincere and productive discussions on family issues. We are very much looking forward to the next edition in Prague.”
