Last chance for EFIB Awards 2016 nominations

Time is running out to have your say on who should be considered for the 2016 European Families in Business Awards, with nominations due to close on Sunday 6 March.

The fifth annual ceremony recognises this dynamic and vital sector and will be held in Berlin on 21 June – a fitting location to celebrate family businesses considering Germany's significant contribution to the European economy.

Nicholas Moody, editor of CampdenFB and a member of the judging panel, said close to 150 nominations have been received so far. “Nominations are on track but we are expecting a last minute rush from those top families who've left it until the last moment.

“We are after those 'hidden champions' ranging from local enterprises to global conglomerates who are doing great things. The awards give those market-leading European family businesses the chance to shine so please join in this celebration of excellence."

The six categories this year are (click to nominate):

 In Germany, most of the famed Mittelstand medium-sized companies are still controlled by the families that founded them. Many of the larger family-owned firms also claim to be part of the Mittlestand, such as engineering conglomerate Bosch, based on its positive connotations.

The event is being held in conjunction with Campden Wealth's European Families in Business Conference.
