Beating the benchmarks at the Indian Family Office Conference

By James Beech

The Warren Buffett of India, a next gen of the Jack Daniels dynasty and the glamorous trio of sisters who are setting up their own family office will address family business leaders in India next week.

Campden Family Connect, in affiliation with Campden Wealth, hosts the latest Indian Family Office Conference in Mumbai on 5-6 December. Members of prominent families, their next generation family members, principals and senior executives of distinguished family offices from across the country will gather for the private and confidential forum and networking event. The theme this year is: “Creating the right family office structure to manage wealth and sustenance.”

Among the speakers are Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, the billionaire investor and trader described as the Warren Buffett of India. Robinson Brown, the fifth generation scion from the Jack Daniels family will talk more about his family dynamics and family's investing culture. The Kapoor sisters, dynamic daughters of banking billionaire Rana Kapoor, will discuss how they established their family office.

Organisers said the 2017 programme was designed to be more interactive while sharing insightful family case studies as delegates plan for their next 12 months and beyond.

The conference will provide delegates with the “not-to-be missed opportunity to hear from global experts and pre-eminent family investment offices who have beaten industry benchmarks,” they said.

“We will be addressing how to optimise income producing yield and long-term capital appreciation against the backdrop of a very challenging and rapidly changing economic and regional-political landscape.
